The Well Church & Community Conference is an annual opportunity for churches and communities to come together for trusted education, practical tools, and solutions to your timely, health-related questions, concerns, and needs. The conference is hosted by the Well Church Initiative of the Family & Community Health Unit of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, and are able to bring in experts from across Texas to help churches and faith-based organizations make informed decisions for themselves in the leading health and wellness challenges faced today.
CONFERENCE FEATURES:
A virtual conference experience with speaker presentations, live questions and answers, and insight into opportunities to advance health and wellness in churches and their surrounding communities.
Partner churches work with us to host the virtual conference for their congregants, and invite their community following the conference for an in-person event hosted at the church for continued fellowship and education opportunties together.

Here are some example hosting tips and guidelines to ensure a smooth conference that you can host for your church and community!
Utilize what is available (e.g., room with projector and screen, TV monitor, computer screen, and speakers). Make certain that the visual and audio is suitable in all areas of the room.
Test Wi-Fi prior to conference to ensure are capabilities are dependable and strong.
Consider partnering with a neighboring church, library, or community center if you do not have adequate equipment or space.
For the local event:
Pair the conference with a healthy and fun event at your church, such as a healthy meal/potluck, a local speaker, or a physical activity event that everyone can enjoy!
Hosting a local event allows for church and community interaction.
